Men’s Bible Study

The Bible is not just for theologians and scholars, rather it is God’s revelation in plain language. Since it is God’s word, studying it is a way to know God better. Group study leads to even deeper discovery as we listen to each other, learn from each other’s perspectives and gain new insights. Studying the Bible is not a chore, it is fun, especially when studying it together!

Wednesday mornings 9:30-11:20 the men’s group gathers to study and discuss the word of God. The discussion is led by a different member each week. The format is simple: coffee and cookies, a couple of choruses, the study, followed by a short time of prayer. In the past we have delved in to most of the letters to the early churches, some of the Psalms, Revelation, John and more. In the weeks ahead we would like to study the book of Acts and more books from the Old Testament. Join us as we seek to know and to draw closer to God.

Women’s Bible Study

Prepare your heart for Easter with our 4 week study, on Thursday mornings, starting on March 20/25 at 10:30 a.m.
The study is “The Promise and Power of Easter” by Lisa Harper and Christine Caine.
All women are welcome and feel free to bring a friend.

2025 Spring Women’s Bible Study

At the Women’s Bible study we examine God’s word to know Him more fully.  We aim to foster a deep, intimate relationship with God, so we may understand His will and apply His truths to our present daily lives.

Several Bible Studies are organized throughout the year.  The studies are based on popular Bible Studies with a video to view and a study book to enhance the study.  Each study usually covers a period of 4 to 8 weeks.

Meetings are generally on a Thursday morning from 10:30 to 12:00.  Please refer to the Upcoming Events on the Home page for specific dates and times.

We share coffee/tea and snacks, discussions, our faith, prayers and laughter. We would love you to join us and you are welcome to bring a friend.

Sunday School

At St. Paul’s, we joyfully welcome children into the life of our church through our Sunday School, which offers nursery services and engaging programs for children aged 3 to 12 during Sunday worship. After a pause during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are excited to see our children’s ministry thriving once again.

Children are also invited to participate in special worship services throughout the year. As families enter the sanctuary, activity packages with colouring pages and crayons are available to help young hearts engage. During the service, we share a dedicated Children’s Time, offering a meaningful message tailored just for them. Afterwards, the children head to Sunday School with the guidance of our caring volunteer leaders and helpers, where they continue to learn, grow, and experience God’s love in a fun, nurturing environment.

In addition to our regular programs, St. Paul’s partners with other Presbyterian churches in Burlington to plan and attend special events designed for children, fostering friendships and faith beyond our walls.

If you plan to attend Sunday service with your children, we would love to hear from you in advance. Please reach out with any questions—we are here to welcome your family with open arms!

Jean Gordon Auxiliary

The Jean Gordon Auxiliary was established in 1890 when the Ladies Aid and Women’s Missionary Society combined under the new name to honour Jean Gordon, a young missionary from the congregation who served in Lahore, India. They are a dedicated group who meet on the first Tuesday of each month and enjoy friendship and fellowship. All are welcome to join.
